Hotel Rama was established in the year 1989. Strategically located in the Heart of Puttur Town. It is barely 300 metres from the bus stand and about 3 kms from the railway station (KABAKA PUTTUR). The nearest Airport is Mangalore (60 kms).

Puttur town is located south east of Mangalore, along the Mysore-Mangalore highway, in a hilly region between the coast and the Western Chats. Puttur is a big trading centre of the district, mainly for arecanut and pepper. Other items traded are Paddy, Coconut, Coccoa, Vanilla. The famous Co-operative institution, CAMPCO has its chocolate factory at Puttur. The National Research Centre for Cashew is located in Puttur.
